3 different spellings, same pronunciation. Mom named me Shaun because she felt it would be difficult for others to pronounce should I be named Sean or Shawn. Sean might be pronounced See An and Shawn... well.. Shaw N? Shaun seemed the easiest but she was mistaken as I ended up being called Shound. Although some managed to pronounce my name correctly, the spelling may differ. According to my sis, a number of people have spelled my name Sean instead of Shaun.
Wanna know why?
Because all of us went through Form 2, and we all went through English, and we all went through the heroics of a hero in English Literature Potato People. That hero killed the bad dude and gave Patrick money. Who is that guy and what is his name? Sean. From the literature, you're able to draft out a few reasons why people spell my name Sean already:
1. Mom named me after that hero.
2. They only came across this type of spelling.
3. They are lazy and prefer to write 4 letters instead of 5.
