Ken's Streak Goes On

On the way back from Mc Donald's yesterday after chatting with Yen Mei and reciting the Big Mac Chant, Ken again combined people to get something out of it. But this time, it was super.... literally. He combined super heroes from Marvel. You see, all super heroes, when they hang out together for a long time, a group will form and they go by the group's name. Example, X-men, The Avengers (Ironman, Captain America, Black Panther, Thor) or arguably the most famous one, Fantastic Four. Ken decided the present groups were disappointing, not to mention the name, so he was combining the superhero:

Thor
Odin's son, enemy of Loki. A God who controls lightning and stuff.

Storm
The X-men woman. Acted by Halle Berry. Control wind and lightning.

Spider-man
Aah... The person would be living in a jungle (no offence to OA) if he/she does not know this dude.

And lastly..........

Spider-woman
Aah...The person would be living in a city (no offence to city people) if he/she knows this dudette. A very quiet superhero, change 4 times already. Nothing to do with Spider-man.

So this is the group of super heroes. Like they say, with great groups, come catchy group names. My brother decided to name them.......

The Windy Spiders

Cool name don't you think? I wonder what else this little boy can think of... Wolverine, Black Panther, Storm, Thor... The Thunder Cats! Wait, name already taken.... Looks like it's harder than I thought!

The Hot Question

I suppose this year, a lot of people are tuning in on American Idol to see the contestants sing their lungs out. The contestants are considered the "Golden Ones", that is, they are all very well trained and the competition is the closest yet. Arguably, the most famous dude on the show right now is Big David. He's pretty much a Chris Daughtry type where he rocks a lot and is a hot favourite. The only difference is the hairstyle.

Chris Daughtry 1.0 with no hair

Chris Daughtry 2.0 with hair

My siblings are all crazy over him, even Ken. I bet Yen Mei's also more attracted to him than Little David. Now, the hot question on everyone's lips is.......

Can David cook?

I sincerely hope no David Cook fans will hold a grudge on me.
I'm just voicing out what the public wants to know.

Ken has good Maths

When we were changing the bed sheets, he showed his superb but controversial mathematical skills.

Ken: Kor! You and me plus together will get Tse Shuen jie jie!

Me: Izzit?

Ken: You Sh and I En... then become Shuen!

The 'U' is probably the sUm of us both I guess. He did not stop there, but came up with a few more.

Ken: Papa plus Mommy then will get Puppy! And then hor, Hwei plus Shuen.... you get When!

I wonder who's the great fella who taught him maths....

The Chosen One

It was a usual day in GBS, the walking to school (not literally from the hill of course), prayer meeting at teacher's room, lining up, and hearing Mr. Siew's lovely voice. He was scolding most of the monitors for not sitting in front and normally this would be the time where everyone shuts down. But he said a line which, I must say, was quite profound. Too profound for him in that matter, maybe he took it from a book. Anyway, he said something like this:

"You are monitors for a reason. I did not choose you, God did. Out of all the people in the world, you are the one sitting up front!"

Then he became himself again and continued his rant. But my mind was still pondering about his previous line. It sounds familiar. Wait, it is. I am a Christian, chosen by God, for a reason. Out of all the people in the world, I am one of the few being up front being the ambassador of God. There's this sentence that Hwei puts up on her MSN that came from this Indian speaker who talked about The Old Testament. Don't really know how to spell his name, so sorry! Anyway, the sentence is:

"We are ambassadors of Christ, live with that dignity."

Something like that. An ambassador is someone who represents his country and stays in another country. So whatever he does does reflect on his country, or some sort. Now, as a Christian, I do admit, that sometimes my behaviour does not reflect in God in a good way and I tend to be one who doesn't do anything, or simply not being up front. But the line coming from an unexpected person came as a knock on my head. Guess God works in miraculous ways. Nevertheless, I shall take it as my duty to go up front, share the gospel, and be a good ambassador of Christ. Yes, there may be troubles up ahead, but the thought of knowing someone is behind me and people beside me (that's you!) to help carry me when I stumble, push me when I need it is a comforting thought. I .... am the chosen one.

For which I am an ambassador in bonds that therein, I may speak boldly, as ought to speak.
Ephesians 6:20

Guess this post is a -1.0 shaun. A new measurement for seriousness?
