My 1st try on Poetry

It's been long since I blogged. So sorry as Internet connection could not be reached. Anyway, I tried poetry, it's pretty fun. You know the poem by Shakespeare? The one title Sonnet 18 where he compared his beloved to a summer day. I can do the same too.

Shall I compare thee to a summer's day?
NO! Malaysia has no summer!
Instead, I shall compare you to a sunny day.
With you, I will shine.

Not bad eh? By the way, just an update about the wedding. Geng Yi and Beng Hui was there as 2 tables were occupied by MGC people. The newer youths wouldn't know who the woman getting married is because she left when I was just a kid and it took me a while to remember her. It was quite a fun night and my face became red and looked drunk because I drank too much Sprite.

Why Malaysia Lacks Superheroes

I think it's safe for me to say that everyone knows superheroes like Spider-Man, Batman, Superman, X-men, and for the sake of the ladies, Wonder Woman. All these heroes come from America and are very popular among all the age groups. My dad collects lots and lots of them, in hope that it would be antique and sold in a much higher price.

I won't go in depth into this whole selling thing, but what is the main topic today is Malaysia lacks superheroes! When you mention superhero in Malaysia, the only one close to being a hero would be Keluang Man or the most recent, Cicak Man. I know, I know, the costumes look like a cut-rate production but I think the important factor that contributed most to the lack of superheroes would be the language.

Allow me to explain my point. Let's say we have our own Stan Lee (the dude who created Spider-man) who manages to think of all the super names before the Americans do. If this happens, surely the names would be in Malay. Will it have the same effect? The excitement, the joy of reading the comic?Well, let's see whether this excites you:

1. Spider-Man - Orang Lelabah
2. Batman - Orang Kelawar
3. Superman - Orang Hebat
4. Fantastic Four - Empat Fantastik
5. Mr. Fantastic - Encik Fantastik
6. The Thing - Benda Itu
7. Wonder Woman - Perempuan Menghairahkan
8. Iron Man - Orang Besi
9. Green Lantern - Tanglung Hijau
10. Ghost Rider - Pelumba Hantu

Wow... I think Fantastic Four would rate the lowest in Malaysia... Anyway, believe it or not, villains are what make heroes, so let's throw in some villains alright?

1. Joker - Pelawak
2. Doctor Doom - Doktor Hancur
3. Doctor Ovtavius/Octopus - Doktor Sotong (Adrian knows this guy)
4. Green Goblin - Tolol Hijau
5. Two-Face - Dua Muka
6. Shocker - Pengejut
7. The Rhino - Badak Sumbu
8. Sandman - Orang Pasir

I think that's why Malaysia lack superheroes and villains. People wouldn't be able to finish off the comic because they'll be laughing their heads off with the names, especially Doktor Sotong or Benda Itu. This is what you get when the Lims are together.... if it's lame, then I'm just the person listening and blogging upon their request, none of the names my idea.

Bye!

Shucks! 3 people are leaving MGC this week! It is none other than Zheng, Daniel, and sis. Without a doubt, they are one of the closest church members to me and the few childhood friends that always played with me although the age gap was like 4-5 years difference. We played a lot of games such as Black Knight, White Knight, wrestling and stuff. I still recall Daniel calling me a girl because I wanted to be with sis! But hey, soft feelings dude! Was the 1st to teach me play football and instill a love-MU and hate-Arsenal thing. Taught me a lot of things, good and bad, but I think(hope) the good outweigh the bad though!

Ah Zheng, believe it or not, he used to wrestle as well. As the older one, he always let me win by a landslide and even celebrated with me. Although after he left to study in Singapore, when he came back, it was still fun chatting with him and there were no barriers or anything. I do hope that you'll come back soon again though! And come back only after you buy that keychain!

Ahh, my sister. Well, to be honest, I only remembered all the fightings we had when we were kids. I'm sorry for being such a brat last time, I'm a copycat, so I copy what the older ones display :P Anyway, I feel we've grown a lot closer over the years, and thanks for all the patience you had for me!

Well, that's about all. I could write more, but nah.. Wouldn't want you guys to miss your orientation/work and only remember me for the bad that I've done. As a friend, I'm sorry for all the wrongs that I've done and do hope all of you would succeed in being a hotel manager/ pharmacist/ lawyer! As a brother, may God bless you for all you've contributed to the church and continue to grow in Him. Amen.

I Know it's Kinda Late.....

..... But happy birthday. This is a tribute to my blog.

Hey you
I know I'm in the wrong
Time flies
When I'm playing FM
I wake up
Another year is gone
You're one year old

I guess you wanna know
Why I'm near the com
It's been half a day or so
I know it's very late
But Happy Birthday

Yeah yeah whoa
I know you love me
Yeah yeah whoa
I'll go update you
Yeah yeah I know
I know it's kinda late
But Happy Birthday

So hard
When you're in the Net
It's lame but I had school exams
I think I'll make the same mistake
On your 2nd year

So now you know
Net, please don't disconnect!
Let me finish this song
I know it's way too late
But Happy Birthday

Yeah yeah whoa
I know you love me
Yeah yeah whoa
I'll go update you
Yeah yeah I know
I know it's kinda late
But Happy Birthday

Original song by: The Click Five

My blog is already 1 year and 6 months old.
I didn't notice it until today.
I wrote this at 1.30p.m so the 2nd stanza would be more logical.

Ken's Streak Goes On

On the way back from Mc Donald's yesterday after chatting with Yen Mei and reciting the Big Mac Chant, Ken again combined people to get something out of it. But this time, it was super.... literally. He combined super heroes from Marvel. You see, all super heroes, when they hang out together for a long time, a group will form and they go by the group's name. Example, X-men, The Avengers (Ironman, Captain America, Black Panther, Thor) or arguably the most famous one, Fantastic Four. Ken decided the present groups were disappointing, not to mention the name, so he was combining the superhero:

Thor
Odin's son, enemy of Loki. A God who controls lightning and stuff.

Storm
The X-men woman. Acted by Halle Berry. Control wind and lightning.

Spider-man
Aah... The person would be living in a jungle (no offence to OA) if he/she does not know this dude.

And lastly..........

Spider-woman
Aah...The person would be living in a city (no offence to city people) if he/she knows this dudette. A very quiet superhero, change 4 times already. Nothing to do with Spider-man.

So this is the group of super heroes. Like they say, with great groups, come catchy group names. My brother decided to name them.......

The Windy Spiders

Cool name don't you think? I wonder what else this little boy can think of... Wolverine, Black Panther, Storm, Thor... The Thunder Cats! Wait, name already taken.... Looks like it's harder than I thought!

The Hot Question

I suppose this year, a lot of people are tuning in on American Idol to see the contestants sing their lungs out. The contestants are considered the "Golden Ones", that is, they are all very well trained and the competition is the closest yet. Arguably, the most famous dude on the show right now is Big David. He's pretty much a Chris Daughtry type where he rocks a lot and is a hot favourite. The only difference is the hairstyle.

Chris Daughtry 1.0 with no hair

Chris Daughtry 2.0 with hair

My siblings are all crazy over him, even Ken. I bet Yen Mei's also more attracted to him than Little David. Now, the hot question on everyone's lips is.......

Can David cook?

I sincerely hope no David Cook fans will hold a grudge on me.
I'm just voicing out what the public wants to know.
